How InScript thinks
The board is split: every vowel and matra sits on your left hand , every consonant on your right hand . So most syllables use both hands. Helpfully, a Devanagari consonant already carries an “a” sound — क is “ka” — so words like कर and पर need no matra at all. That’s where we start.
